The Have a Ball Nursery Programme is a series of fun exercises and activities for kids aged 4-8 years old and it does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s all about having a ball and its got loads of cool exercises to develop your ball skills.

These exercises focus on the skills of Throwing, Catching, Passing, Kicking and Striking. These skills may look simple but they form the basis for the playing of all Gaelic games. By learning these skills at an early age it will make it easier for you to develop as a player on the playing field as you get older.

The Have a Ball exercises focus on the players ability to play with and handle balls of different sizes, shapes and weights. They involve hand-eye, eye-foot and hand-foot coordination using balls, bean bags, balloons, rackets and hurley sticks. Getting you used to handling a ball is great cos when you play with a real football or sliotar it will be a lot easier.

Why not try some of these below for starters.
