Jane Adams has given many great displays in the saffron and white of Antrim in the last few years. Player of the match in the 2001 All-Ireland Intermediate final she has great pace and is a very stylish and creative player.

She recently added a second All-Ireland Intermediate medal to her collection in 2003. She won her first Junior All-Ireland medal back in 1997 when Antrim defeated Cork in the All-Ireland.

Her greatest moment in Gaelic games came when she was picked for the All-Star camogie team of 2003. The only player outside of Tipperary, Cork and Limerick to be picked on the star studded team.

What has been your best moment so far in camogie?
I would have to say that getting picked on the All-Star camogie team was the best. After playing for the last few years at the highest level and to be rewarded like that is the greatest honour a player can get.

Which player do you admire most?
Maureen McAleenan from Co Down.

Who was the toughest opponent you ever came up against?
Most of the players on the Tipperary team, especially Therese Brophy.

Who was your childhood hero?
Without doubt, DJ Carey.

What advice would you give to young players?

Train hard and play hard, that way you will get the most out of sport.

What are your hopes for the future?

To win an All-Ireland Senior title with Antrim, that would be a dream come true.

Do you find it hard to balance your studies with top-level camogie?
It can be tough going in May and June when the exams and big camogie games come together but with a little hard work it’s worth it.
